Parent Power is an employment-based program designed to assist single parents between the ages of 15-30. This program is funded by Service Canada and sponsored by the East Prince Youth Development Centre. Each year, 10 participants are selected to attend the 26-week program and are provided with the opportunity to set, reach, and maintain their employment goals. The program curriculum includes Employment Skills, Life Skills, Nutrition and Health Presentations, Entrepreneurship Information, Volunteer Experience and On The Job Training Opportunities as well as providing various other guest speakers and presentations throughout the program.
